DIY Zines 4 Teens is a hands-on workshop where teens will learn to make, write, and design their own zines. Zines are DIY booklets used to share art, stories, opinions, and ideas. Participants will learn basic zine-making techniques using simple tools (paper, pens, scissors, glue), browse zines from the Break the System Archive, and create their own personal zine to take home. All materials are provided, along with free zines for participants to keep. No prior experience necessary.
Tyasha/Ty is a liberation artist, radical archivist, independent researcher, and caretaker of the Break the System Radical Archive. Their multidisciplinary practice invites communities to reimagine the world through shared stories, collective memory, and mutual care. Learn more at teamwithty.com
